Mouse Regenerating islet-derived protein 3-alpha (Reg3a) ELISA Kit

This sandwich-format colorimetric ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of Mouse Regenerating islet-derived protein 3-alpha (Reg3a) in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Reactivity is specific to mouse, and the kit is intended for research use only. The assay detects natural and recombinant mouse Reg3a.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78–50 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.39 ng/mL, with intra-assay CV of 6.4% and inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Recovery is reported at 84% (range 80–90%) for serum and 86% (range 80–92%) for plasma. Linearity has been evaluated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma matrices at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Absorbance is read at 450 nm.

REG3A is described as a bactericidal C-type lectin that regulates keratinocyte proliferation and differentiation after skin injury via activation of the EXTL3-PI3K-AKT signaling pathway. The target is a secreted protein with a molecular weight of 19,539 Da, referenced under UniProt accession O09037 (NCBI Gene ID: 19694). Synonyms include Islet of Langerhans regenerating protein 3, Lithostathine 3, Pancreatitis-associated protein 2, Regenerating islet-derived protein III-alpha, Reg III-alpha, REG-3-alpha and Pap2.
