Reported linearity for serum (n=5) is 95-101% at 1:2, 87-102% at 1:4, and 99-104% at 1:8; for EDTA plasma (n=5) 82-98%, 84-100%, and 82-100%; and for heparin plasma (n=5) 84-98%, 91-94%, and 81-99%. Recovery ranges are 86-99% (serum, average 98%), 89-104% (EDTA plasma, average 92%), and 92-99% (heparin plasma, average 97%). Reagents should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. The procedure involves equilibrating reagents, incubating standards and samples at 37°C for 90 minutes, binding the biotin-labeled detection antibody at 37°C for 60 minutes, adding HRP-Streptavidin for 30 minutes, developing with TMB substrate in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
