Mouse Reelin (Reln) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the precise, quantitative measurement of reelin (RELN) in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit is intended for research use only and supports neuroscience studies investigating the role of reelin in brain development and neuronal migration in mouse models, with relevance to neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, schizophrenia and autism spectrum disorders.

The assay has a detection range of 7.8-500pg/mL with a sensitivity of 3.92pg/mL. Precision performance shows an Intra CV of 6.2% and an Inter CV of 8.1%. Reelin is an extracellular matrix serine protease (UniProt Q60841) involved in layering of neurons in the cerebral cortex and cerebellum, regulation of microtubule function in neurons, and neuronal migration. It functions as a disulfide-linked homodimer and binds the ectodomains of lipoprotein receptors VLDLR and LRP8/APOER2, inducing tyrosine phosphorylation of DAB1 and modulating TAU phosphorylation. The protein is secreted to the extracellular space and extracellular matrix, and the kit is classified for the Neurosciences research area.
