Quantify Receptor Activator of Nuclear Factor Kappa B (RANK) in mouse specimens using this ELISA-based microplate immunoassay from Assay Genie. RANK, also known as TNFRSF11A, CD265, TRANCE-R, or ODFR, is a type I transmembrane receptor of the TNF receptor superfamily that is expressed on osteoclast precursors, mature osteoclasts, dendritic cells, and certain mammary epithelial cells. Through binding to its ligand RANKL (TNFSF11), it drives osteoclast differentiation, activation, and survival, making it a central target in bone resorption research, osteoporosis models, rheumatoid arthritis studies, and investigations of metastatic bone disease.

This colorimetric Assay Genie kit is formatted for 96 assays and validated for mouse reactivity. It is routinely applied to bone biology research, including ovariectomy-induced bone loss, inflammatory arthritis models, periodontitis, and tumor-induced osteolysis, as well as to in vitro osteoclastogenesis assays using bone marrow-derived macrophage cultures. Researchers also use it to evaluate the RANK/RANKL/OPG signaling axis in immunology and inflammation studies.

The assay uses a two-antibody capture format: an immobilized antibody captures RANK from the specimen, a conjugated detection antibody provides signal, and a chromogenic substrate generates measurable absorbance on a standard microplate reader. Each kit contains pre-coated microplate wells, reference standards, detection reagents, wash buffer, substrate, and stop solution, together with a complete protocol.

To preserve sample integrity, aliquot specimens before storage, refrigerate the kit, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the samples. Allow plate and reagents to equilibrate to room temperature before running the assay. This Assay Genie kit is intended for research use only and is not approved for diagnostic or clinical use.
