Description

Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA kit enables accurate quantification of mouse RAC-alpha serine/threonine-protein kinase (Akt1) in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. The kit is designed for reliable and reproducible results, offering high sensitivity and specificity, with a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.173ng/mL. Reproducibility is supported by an intra-assay CV of 6.8% and inter-assay CV of 9.3%.

Linearity was assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16. In serum (N=5), results were 112-122%, 105-115%, 98-108%, and 104-114% across these dilutions. EDTA plasma (N=5) yielded 99-108%, 112-122%, 118-128%, and 96-105%, while heparin plasma (N=5) yielded 105-115%, 88-98%, 102-111%, and 88-99%. Recovery ranges from 99-111% for serum (average 105%) and 101-113% for plasma (average 107%). The kit is specific for natural and recombinant mouse RAC-alpha serine/threonine-protein kinase and corresponds to UniProt entry P31750.

AKT1 is an oncogenic AGC kinase central to cell survival and metabolism, requiring dual phosphorylation for activation: T308 is phosphorylated by PDK1 in the PI3K pathway, while S473 is phosphorylated by mTOR in the mTORC2 pathway. Dysregulation of AKT1 has been implicated in cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for molecular biology and drug discovery research. For research use only.
