Mouse RAB5A, Member RAS Oncogene Family (RAB5A) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides this microplate immunoassay for quantifying murine RAB5A, a Ras-superfamily GTPase (~24 kDa) that governs early endosome biogenesis and receptor-mediated endocytosis. RAB5A coordinates homotypic endosome fusion by recruiting the tethering factor EEA1, activates the class III PI3K Vps34 to generate phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate, and regulates the intracellular itinerary of EGFR, Trk receptors, beta-1 integrins, and amyloid precursor protein. Loss- or gain-of-function studies in mouse knock-out and transgenic lines have linked RAB5A activity to tumor cell migration, phagocytic clearance, neuronal signaling, and amyloidogenic processing tied to Alzheimer's pathology. The assay is intended for in vitro research use only and is read on standard laboratory microplate readers.
