Description

The Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Mouse Putative RNA-binding protein 3 (Rbm3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The colorimetric assay demonstrates reactivity with mouse samples and detects Rbm3, also known as RNA-binding motif protein 3, a cold-inducible mRNA binding protein involved in enhancing global protein synthesis at physiological and mild hypothermic temperatures and in regulating microRNA abundance.

The kit provides a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL with a sensitivity of 41.2 pg/mL. Performance metrics include an intra-assay CV of 6.9% and an inter-assay CV of 9.3%. Linearity has been validated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma matrices at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery averages 80% for serum (range 80-85%) and 81% for plasma (range 80-87%).

Rbm3 associates with the 60S ribosomal subunit through interaction with RPL4 in an RNA-independent manner and localises to the nucleus, cytoplasm, cell projections and dendrites, including mRNA granules in dendrites. Dysregulation of Rbm3 has been linked to research on cancer, neurological disorders and immune-related conditions, making it a relevant biomarker target for epigenetic studies. The Uniprot reference is O89086, the NCBI Gene ID is 19652, and the protein has a molecular weight of 16,605 Da. For research use only.
