Mouse Pulmonary Surfactant Associated Protein D/SPD ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit for the accurate quantification of Pulmonary Surfactant-Associated Protein D (SP-D) levels in mouse biological samples. The assay is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and uses colorimetric detection read at 450 nm.

SP-D is a key component of the pulmonary surfactant system, enhancing host defense against pathogens and regulating inflammation. Abnormal SP-D levels have been associated with respiratory diseases such as asthma, COPD, and interstitial lung diseases, making it a valuable biomarker for studying pulmonary biology and conducting preclinical research.

The protocol starts with plate and reagent preparation, followed by incubation of standards and samples at 37°C for 90 minutes to allow antigen binding. Biotin-labeled detection antibody is then added and incubated for 60 minutes, followed by a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) incubation. Color is developed with TMB substrate for 10–20 minutes in the dark, the reaction is stopped, and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
