Mouse Pulmonary surfactant-associated protein A (Sftpa1) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie, designed for the quantitative measurement of pulmonary surfactant-associated protein A (Sftpa1) in mouse samples. The kit is reactive with mouse and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Sftpa1. It reports Sftpa1 levels across a detection range of 1.56–100 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.78 ng/mL.

Sftpa1 is a secreted extracellular protein that, in the presence of calcium ions, binds surfactant phospholipids and contributes to lowering surface tension at the air–liquid interface of the alveoli, and it enhances the expression of MYO18A/SP-R210 on alveolar macrophages. The kit is classified within the Signal Transduction research area and corresponds to UniProt accession P35242. It is intended for research use only.
