Mouse Protransforming growth factor alpha (Tgfa) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse protransforming growth factor alpha (Tgfa) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method, shows reactivity with mouse samples, and has specificity for natural and recombinant mouse protransforming growth factor alpha.

The assay has a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 7.81pg/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 4.8% and an inter-assay CV of 7.8%. Linearity has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with recovery averaging 97% (range 91-103%) in serum and 99% (range 93-105%) in plasma. The kit is intended for research use only.

TGF alpha is a mitogenic polypeptide that binds to the EGF receptor/EGFR and acts synergistically with TGF beta to promote anchorage-independent cell proliferation in soft agar, making this kit applicable to cancer research.
