It is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.394ng/mL. SAAL1 plays a role in promoting the proliferation of synovial fibroblasts in response to proinflammatory stimuli, and the protein is also known by the synonyms SPACIA1 and synoviocyte proliferation-associated in collagen-induced arthritis protein 1. It is a member of the SAAL1 family, has a subcellular location in the nucleus, and corresponds to UniProt entry Q9D2C2 with a molecular weight of 52,769 Da.

Reagents should be stored at -20°C and the kit is shipped at +4°C. Absorbance is read at 450 nm using a standard microplate reader.
