Mouse Protein S100-A9 (S100a9) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Protein S100-A9 (S100A9) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and is supplied as a Colorimetric detection format intended for research use only, with particular relevance to immunology research.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 62.5-4000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 31.31pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.4% and inter-assay CV is 8.6%. Linearity has been evaluated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum (N=5: 99-107%, 99-109%, 111-121%, 84-96%), EDTA plasma (N=5: 110-120%, 98-106%, 90-103%, 93-104%) and heparin plasma (N=5: 100-110%, 83-96%, 87-97%, 94-103%). Recovery testing shows an average of 94% (range 88-100%) in serum and 96% (range 90-102%) in plasma. The kit detects both natural and recombinant mouse Protein S100-A9 and is associated with the Uniprot entry P31725.

S100A9 is a calcium- and zinc-binding protein that plays a prominent role in regulating inflammatory processes and immune responses, with described involvement in neutrophil chemotaxis, adhesion and bactericidal activity. It predominantly exists as part of the calprotectin heterodimer or heterotetramer with S100A8.
