Mouse Protein max (Max) ELISA Kit

The kit is reactive with mouse and validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, showing specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Protein max (synonyms: Myc-associated factor X, Myc-binding novel HLH/LZ protein, Protein myn, Myn).

The assay has a detection range of 0.625-40ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.315ng/mL. MAX is a transcription regulator that forms a sequence-specific DNA-binding protein complex with MYC or MAD which recognizes the core sequence 5'-CAC[GA]TG-3'; the MYC:MAX complex is a transcriptional activator, whereas the MAD:MAX complex is a repressor. The protein (UniProt P28574, molecular weight 18,197 Da) localizes to the nucleus, cell projection and dendrite, and is relevant to cancer research.
