Mouse Prostaglandin F2-alpha receptor (Ptgfr) ELISA Kit

The target, also known as the prostanoid FP receptor or PGF receptor, is a G-protein coupled receptor that mediates the effects of prostaglandin F2-alpha through a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system and is known to initiate luteolysis in the corpus luteum.

The assay is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Prostaglandin F2-alpha receptor, with a detection range of 0.625-40ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.331ng/mL. PTGFR has been implicated in inflammation, reproduction, and smooth muscle contraction, with research interest in cardiovascular applications. The target protein is located on the cell membrane as a multi-pass membrane protein with a molecular weight of 40,700 Da, corresponding to UniProt entry P43117 and NCBI Gene ID 19220.
