Mouse PROS1/Protein S ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of Protein S (PROS1) levels in mouse samples, this sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format and can be applied to serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. Protein S is described as a key regulator of blood coagulation that plays a critical role in maintaining proper blood clotting function, and dysregulation of protein S levels has been associated with various thrombotic disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these conditions and developing potential treatment strategies in mouse models.

The assay reports a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL and a working range of 0.625-40 ng/mL. Linearity in serum spans 81-100%, in EDTA plasma 85-105%, and in heparin plasma 82-102% across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions (n=5). Recovery averages 96% for serum, 95% for EDTA plasma, and 96% for heparin plasma, with corresponding recovery ranges of 87-104%, 90-102% and 88-104%. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C and remain stable for 12 months. The procedure involves equilibrating reagents and the TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards, samples and blanks on the pre-coated plate with a 37°C primary incubation of 90 minutes, sequential binding of a biotin-labelled detection antibody (60 minutes at 37°C) and HRP-streptavidin conjugate (30 minutes at 37°C), TMB colour development for 10-20 minutes in the dark, and a stop reaction read at 450 nm.
