Mouse Prolyl 4-hydroxylase subunit alpha-2 (P4ha2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Prolyl 4-hydroxylase subunit alpha-2 (P4HA2). The kit is intended for research use only and is reactive with mouse samples, accommodating serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids.

According to the manufacturer, P4HA2 is a key enzyme involved in collagen synthesis, catalyzing the post-translational formation of 4-hydroxyproline in -Xaa-Pro-Gly- sequences in collagens and other proteins. The protein localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum lumen and functions as a heterotetramer of two alpha-2 chains and two beta chains. The kit's specificity covers natural and recombinant mouse Prolyl 4-hydroxylase subunit alpha-2.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.625-40ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.322ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.8% and inter-assay CV is 8.7%. Recovery values are 90% (range 84-96%) for serum and 92% (range 86-98%) for plasma. Linearity data is provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across multiple dilutions. Reagents require storage at -20°C or 4°C as indicated per component, and the kit is shipped at +4°C.
