Mouse Profilin-4 (Pfn4) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the precise quantitative measurement of mouse Profilin-4 (PFN4) levels in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Profilin-4 and uses an ELISA-based detection method.

Profilin-4 is a cytoplasmic and cytoskeletal protein involved in regulating actin polymerization and cytoskeletal dynamics, with documented roles in cell migration and invasion processes. It binds to phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate (PtdIns(3)P), phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PtdIns(4,5)P2), phosphatidylinositol 4-phosphate (PtdIns(4)P) and phosphatidic acid (PA), but, unlike other family members, does not bind to actin. The protein has a reported molecular weight of 14,416 Da (UniProt: Q9D6I3; NCBI Gene ID: 382562; synonym: Profilin IV).

The assay has a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.075ng/mL, with intra-assay CV, inter-assay CV, linearity and recovery data supplied with the kit. Dysregulation of profilin-4 expression has been linked to diseases including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, supporting its relevance as a potential biomarker and therapeutic research target.
