Type I collagen biosynthesis can be tracked in mouse research samples by quantifying Procollagen I C-Terminal Propeptide (PICP), and the Assay Genie immunoassay delivers quantitative measurement of this analyte in murine specimens. PICP is cleaved from the C-terminal end of type I procollagen during extracellular fibril maturation, so its circulating concentration reflects ongoing fibrogenic activity, osteoblastic bone formation, and connective-tissue matrix remodeling in disease models.
Applications include pulmonary, hepatic, renal, and cardiac fibrosis research, skeletal development and repair studies, tendon and skin wound healing investigations, and chemically induced injury protocols such as bleomycin or CCl4 administration in mice. Each kit provides reagents and disposables sufficient for 96 individual determinations run on a standard microplate reader, with pre-coated strips, lyophilized reference standards, biotinylated detection antibody, wash buffer, and substrate in ready-to-use vials.
Store unopened components refrigerated and bring them to room temperature before use to avoid condensation. Research use only.
