Mouse Pro-neuropeptide Y (Npy) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric ELISA kit enables quantitative detection of mouse pro-neuropeptide Y (Npy). It is reactive with mouse samples and has been validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids.

The assay provides a detection range of 15.6–1000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 7.98 pg/mL. Reported precision is an intra-assay CV of 7.4% and an inter-assay CV of 9.5%. Specificity covers natural and recombinant mouse pro-neuropeptide Y. Pro-neuropeptide Y is described as a key neuropeptide regulating appetite, stress response, and cardiovascular function, with dysregulation implicated in obesity, anxiety disorders, and hypertension. UniProt code P57774 notes that NPY is implicated in the control of feeding and in secretion of gonadotrophin-release hormone.

Average recovery is 85% in serum (range 80–91%) and 87% in plasma (range 81–93%). Linearity has been characterised for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions. For research use only.
