Mouse pro-MMP-9 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS1511)

The Assay Genie immunoassay quantitatively detects the latent 92 kDa pro-form of Matrix Metalloproteinase 9, the inactive zymogen that is secreted before being processed into the catalytically active 82 kDa enzyme.

Because pro-MMP-9 and mature MMP-9 are often regulated independently, separating the two pools in mouse samples is informative for studies of tumor cell invasion, neutrophil extravasation, cartilage breakdown in arthritis models, plaque instability in atherosclerosis, and tissue remodeling after myocardial or lung injury.

The kit accepts conditioned cell culture media as well as citrate- or EDTA-anticoagulated blood fractions and clotted serum, and the included lyophilized standards let users generate a multi-point curve for interpolating unknowns.

Reconstituted standard, biotinylated detection reagent and streptavidin conjugate should be kept refrigerated at 4°C, while long-term storage as single-use frozen aliquots avoids repeated freeze-thaw cycles that compromise antibody binding. A well plate format read on a standard microplate reader is sufficient for quantification, and the assay is intended for research use only, not for clinical diagnostic procedures.
