Mouse PRND (Prion-like protein doppel) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a colorimetric, double-antibody Sandwich ELISA Kit for the quantitative measurement of Mouse Prion-like protein doppel (PRND) in research samples. The assay is designed for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is validated for mouse reactivity.

According to the manufacturer, the kit has a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a working range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions (n=5) is reported as 82–98%, 84–100%, and 82–100% for serum; 84–98%, 85–95%, and 82–100% for EDTA plasma; and 84–96%, 86–96%, and 89–105% for heparin plasma. Recovery averages are 94% for serum (range 87–105%), 97% for EDTA plasma (range 86–101%), and 95% for heparin plasma (range 85–103%). Unopened kits are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

PRND is a prion-like protein involved in neuronal development and function, and its dysregulation has been linked to neurodegenerative diseases and neuronal disorders. The procedure involves equilibrating reagents, loading standards and samples onto the pre-coated plate, incubating at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding biotin-labeled detection antibody with a 60-minute incubation, adding HRP-Streptavidin for 30 minutes, developing colour with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, stopping the reaction, and reading absorbance at 450 nm.
