Mouse preptin ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit for the quantitative measurement of preptin in mouse samples. Preptin is described as a peptide hormone involved in regulating glucose metabolism and insulin secretion, and monitoring its levels is used in research into metabolic disorders, diabetes and obesity. The assay is reactive with mouse and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance read at 450 nm following TMB substrate development.

Sensitivity is listed at 9.375 pg/mL, with a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Reported recovery averages 94% for serum (range 91–101%), 99% for EDTA plasma (range 90–105%) and 97% for heparin plasma (range 89–103%), each across n = 5. Linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 85–95%, 84–100% and 82–93% for serum; 85–99%, 82–97% and 82–99% for EDTA plasma; and 85–102%, 82–101% and 81–97% for heparin plasma (n = 5).

The procedure involves a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotin-labelled detection antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin binding step, and 10–20 minutes of TMB colour development in the dark before stop solution is added. Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.
