Mouse PRDX5/Peroxiredoxin-5 ELISA Kit

An Assay Genie sandwich ELISA, double antibody kit for the quantitative measurement of mouse PRDX5/Peroxiredoxin-5 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The colorimetric assay uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

Reported sensitivity is 0.469 ng/mL with a working range of 0.781–50 ng/mL. Linearity has been verified at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions in serum (86–103%, 87–105%, 85–102%), EDTA plasma (93–101%, 89–101%, 84–97%) and heparin plasma (80–99%, 81–94%, 87–99%), all with n=5. Recovery (n=5) was 86–103% in serum (average 98%), 87–102% in EDTA plasma (average 93%) and 87–104% in heparin plasma (average 95%). The associated UniProt accession is P99029.

Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. PRDX5 is described as a vital enzyme that plays a crucial role in antioxidant defence mechanisms, protecting cells from oxidative stress and maintaining redox balance, with dysregulation linked to cancer, neurodegenerative disorders and cardiovascular disease, supporting its use as a research biomarker.
