Mouse Poly [ADP-ribose] polymerase 1 (Parp1) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Poly [ADP-ribose] polymerase 1 (PARP1), a poly-ADP-ribosyltransferase that plays a central role in DNA damage repair. The kit is validated for use with mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and detects natural and recombinant mouse PARP1.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 39 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.5% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Linearity in serum (N=5) spans 98-98% at 1:2, 106-118% at 1:4, 94-104% at 1:8 and 102-112% at 1:16; EDTA plasma shows 101-111%, 105-118%, 82-92% and 105-116% across the same dilutions; heparin plasma shows 96-108%, 87-98%, 82-82% and 89-99%. Mean recovery is 89% (range 83-95%) in serum and 91% (range 85-97%) in plasma.

PARP1 localises to the nucleus, nucleolus and chromosome, accumulating at DNA damage sites, and is implicated in base excision repair, double-strand break repair and transcription regulation, with dysregulation linked to cancer, neurodegenerative and inflammatory conditions.
