Description

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of PLAUR/uPAR (also known as Plasminogen Activator, Urokinase Receptor; UniProt P35456) in mouse samples. The assay is reactive with mouse and accepts a broad range of sample types, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. It uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC) and TMB substrate, and is read colorimetrically by measuring absorbance at 450 nm.

Reported performance specifications include a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and an assay range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL. Linearity has been validated across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions for serum (94–105%, 88–100%, 85–95%), EDTA plasma (94–105%, 84–97%, 80–95%) and heparin plasma (90–102%, 85–91%, 87–100%), each with n = 5. Spike-and-recovery values are reported as 88–103% (average 98%) for serum, 88–101% (average 97%) for EDTA plasma and 88–103% (average 95%) for heparin plasma. The kit should be stored at 2-8°C and remains stable for 12 months under those conditions. The associated KEGG pathway identifier is K03985 (Gene ID 18793).

PLAUR/uPAR is a key protein complex involved in the regulation of cell migration, adhesion and tissue remodelling, and it plays a critical role in wound healing, inflammation and cancer metastasis, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these pathways. The assay workflow involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, loading standards, samples and blanks onto the pre-coated plate, incubating at 37°C, adding the biotinylated detection antibody followed by HRP-streptavidin, developing colour with TMB in the dark, and stopping the reaction before reading the absorbance at 450 nm.
