Mouse Platelet factor 4 (Pf4) ELISA Kit

The assay is specific for natural and recombinant mouse PF4, supporting research into platelet activation, aggregation, blood clot formation and inflammation.

Quoted performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 39.8pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 7.6% and an inter-assay CV of 9.5%. Dilution linearity has been demonstrated in serum (80-92% to 113-123% across 1:2 to 1:16, N=5), EDTA plasma (82-95% to 109-119%, N=5) and heparin plasma (99-109% to 108-117%, N=5). Spike recovery averages 85% (range 80-91%) in serum and 87% (range 81-93%) in plasma.

PF4 is a secreted homotetrameric chemokine released during platelet aggregation; it binds heparin more strongly than the carrier molecule's chondroitin-4-sulfate chains, is chemotactic for neutrophils and monocytes, and inhibits endothelial cell proliferation. The kit is for research use only.
