ATP2B2 is a magnesium-dependent enzyme that catalyses the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the transport of calcium out of the cell, and it plays a role in maintaining balance and hearing. Dysregulation of ATP2B2 has been linked to numerous diseases and disorders, making it a potential biomarker for research into calcium signalling pathways, cellular functions, and disease mechanisms.

Reactivity is specific to mouse, with detection carried out by ELISA. The kit shows a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.083 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 6.8% and an inter-assay CV of 9.4%.
