Description

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse PLA2G7, also known as Platelet-Activating Factor Acetylhydrolase or Lipoprotein-Associated Phospholipase A2, in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. PLA2G7 plays a critical role in lipid metabolism and inflammation and has been implicated in atherosclerosis, cardiovascular disorders, and inflammatory conditions, making it a valuable biomarker for understanding disease mechanisms and developing targeted therapies.

The kit uses a colorimetric double-antibody sandwich ELISA format with a sensitivity of 1.875 ng/mL and an assay range of 3.125–200 ng/mL, and should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. The workflow involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction with absorbance measured at 450 nm.

Dilution linearity (n=5) shows serum at 89–103% (1:2), 86–101% (1:4), and 80–93% (1:8); EDTA plasma at 89–105%, 83–95%, and 80–93%; and heparin plasma at 89–105%, 83–101%, and 85–100%. Spike-and-recovery (n=5) yields serum recovery of 88–102% (average 93%), EDTA plasma 87–104% (average 95%), and heparin plasma 91–104% (average 99%). Sample preparation guidance covers serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant, and cell lysate applications.
