Mouse PKP2 (Plakophilin 2) ELISA Kit (MOES01364)

Plakophilin 2 (PKP2) is a desmosomal plaque protein essential for cell-cell adhesion in cardiac muscle and stratified epithelia. Loss-of-function variants in the PKP2 gene are the most frequent genetic cause of arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC), driving widespread research interest in quantitative ELISA-based protein measurement for cardiovascular and inherited cardiomyopathy studies.

This Assay Genie reagent set provides a quantitative immunoassay formatted on a standard microplate, with a sample volume of 100 µL per well, using matched capture and detection antibodies with a chromogenic substrate read on a standard plate reader. Cross-reactivity has been validated against mouse PKP2, supporting work in transgenic and knockout mouse models, in pressure-overload and ischaemia-reperfusion injury studies, and as a complementary readout alongside western blot and immunofluorescence on cardiac and epithelial tissue sections.

Each kit ships with a pre-coated plate, lyophilised standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, dilution buffer, chromogenic substrate, and stop solution sufficient for 96 determinations. Unopened kits should be stored refrigerated at 4 degrees C and protected from light; reconstituted standards and the streptavidin-HRP conjugate are best aliquoted and held at -20 degrees C, with repeated freeze-thaw cycles avoided to preserve the calibration curve and inter-assay reproducibility.
