PKIg, or Protein Kinase Inhibitor Gamma, is an endogenous regulator of cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinase A (PKA) activity and a relevant target in studies of cardiac signaling, neuronal plasticity, and metabolic regulation. This in vitro immunoassay from Assay Genie is configured to quantify endogenous PKIg levels in mouse-derived specimens, supporting investigation of PKA pathway modulation in murine models of cardiovascular disease, neurodegeneration, and metabolic dysfunction.

The microplate-based kit is intended for research use only and serves laboratories profiling kinase inhibitor expression alongside downstream PKA substrates such as CREB and BAD. Researchers can apply the assay to supernatant from cultured primary cells, tissue homogenates, and matched liquid specimens drawn from experimental cohorts, including longitudinal studies of transgenic or knockout mouse lines.

All reagents should be equilibrated to room temperature before use, and unopened components are stored refrigerated to preserve antibody binding activity through multiple freeze-thaw cycles. Each kit ships with the necessary coated microplate, detection antibody, standards, and buffers required to perform the assay, allowing direct quantitative comparison of PKIg expression across treatment groups and time points in mouse research.
