Mouse PIGF/Placenta growth factor ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of Placenta Growth Factor (PlGF) in mouse samples, this double-antibody sandwich ELISA uses a colorimetric detection workflow. The assay is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The kit has a sensitivity of 7.5 pg/mL and a working range of 12.5-800 pg/mL. Reported linearity for serum (n=5) is 85-101% at 1:2, 89-99% at 1:4, and 81-100% at 1:8; for EDTA plasma (n=5), 87-99%, 84-97%, and 81-97%; and for heparin plasma (n=5), 93-104%, 90-101%, and 82-89%. Recovery in serum averages 90% (range 85-94%), in EDTA plasma averages 95% (range 89-104%), and in heparin plasma averages 92% (range 88-99%). PlGF is a key factor in promoting angiogenesis and vascularization processes, with dysregulation linked to preeclampsia, cancer, and cardiovascular diseases, making the kit relevant to research in cardiovascular biology, reproductive biology, and disease pathology. The assay involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature and loading standards, samples and controls onto the pre-coated plate, incubating at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding a biotin-labelled detection antibody for 60 minutes, binding HRP-Streptavidin for 30 minutes, developing with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after stop solution.
