The Mouse PI3K2a ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is intended for research use only and supports quantitative measurement of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase class II alpha (PIK3C2A) in mouse biofluid, tissue homogenate and cell lysate samples. PI3K2a is a class II lipid kinase that phosphorylates phosphatidylinositol at the 3-position of the inositol ring, generating lipid second messengers involved in clathrin-mediated endocytosis, membrane trafficking and receptor signaling. Mouse models are widely used to study its roles in insulin signaling, hepatic lipid metabolism, vascular endothelial function and tumor progression, particularly in hepatocellular carcinoma and glioblastoma research.

Assay Genie supplies this kit as a complete immunoassay pack with reagents sufficient for 96 individual determinations in a microplate format using an absorbance readout. Reagents should be stored refrigerated at 4 degrees C and equilibrated to room temperature before use; protect the standard and concentrated detection antibody from repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Each run uses a small sample volume per well, and the included standard curve allows interpolation of unknown mouse PI3K2a concentrations against a recombinant mouse PIK3C2A reference standard, with the assay calibrated specifically for mouse PIK3C2A and showing limited cross-reactivity toward related class II PI3K isoforms.
