Mouse Phosphoglycerate mutase 2 (Pgam2) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Phosphoglycerate mutase 2 (Pgam2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive against mouse samples and recognises natural and recombinant mouse Pgam2.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 78–5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 42.3 pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.8% and inter-assay CV is 8.4%. Linearity across serial dilutions (N=5) is 81–93%, 87%, 88–97% and 80–90% for serum; 111–121%, 90–100%, 95–104% and 99–109% for EDTA plasma; and 83–96%, 105–114%, 101–112% and 96–107% for heparin plasma, at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 respectively. Recovery averages are 86% (range 80–92%) for serum and 88% (range 82–94%) for plasma.

Pgam2 is a homodimeric enzyme of the phosphoglycerate mutase family that catalyses the interconversion of 3- and 2-phosphoglycerate with 2,3-bisphosphoglycerate as the primer of the reaction, and can additionally catalyse the reaction of EC 5.4.2.4 (synthase) with reduced activity. Dysregulation of PGAM2 has been linked in the literature to cancer, metabolic disorders and neurological conditions, so monitoring PGAM2 levels can aid studies of disease mechanisms and therapeutic targets in mouse models.
