Mouse Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase [GTP], mitochondrial (Pck2) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit, supplied by Assay Genie, is designed for the measurement of mouse Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase [GTP], mitochondrial (Pck2; synonym PEPCK-M) levels. It is for research use only and supports work in the metabolism research area, given that Pck2 is the mitochondrial enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of oxaloacetate (OAA) to phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP) – the rate-limiting step of gluconeogenesis.

Reactive with mouse samples, the kit is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, and is specific for both natural and recombinant mouse Pck2 – a monomeric, mitochondrially-localised protein (UniProt Q8BH04). The assay is run as a sandwich ELISA with colorimetric detection.

Performance figures reported by the manufacturer include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.167 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.2% and an inter-assay CV of 7.0%. Recovery averages 90% (range 84–96%) for serum and 92% (range 86–98%) for plasma, with linearity ranges given across serial dilutions for serum (80–126%), EDTA plasma (94–116%) and heparin plasma (102–116%). Components are stored at –20 °C, with wash buffer, substrate and stop solution held at 4 °C, and the kit is shipped at +4 °C.
