Description

Designed by Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of mouse Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase, cytosolic [GTP] (Pck1), this Sandwich ELISA Kit is intended for research use only. It targets PCK1, a key enzyme in gluconeogenesis that helps regulate glucose homeostasis and energy metabolism, and is relevant to studies of metabolic disorders such as diabetes and obesity.

The kit is validated for use with mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, and specifically recognises natural and recombinant mouse PCK1. Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL, intra-assay CV of 6.8% and inter-assay CV of 8.6%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, and recovery ranges from 93–105% in serum and 95–107% in plasma.

PCK1 is a cytoplasmic monomer (UniProt Q9Z2V4) of approximately 69,355 Da that catalyses the conversion of oxaloacetate to phosphoenolpyruvate, the rate-limiting step in gluconeogenesis. The kit is supplied for cardiovascular research applications.
