Description

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Phosphatidylinositol-glycan-specific phospholipase D (Gpld1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method. Synonyms for the target include Glycoprotein phospholipase D, Glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase D, GPI-PLD, and PI-G PLD.

GPLD1 hydrolyzes the inositol phosphate linkage in proteins anchored by phosphatidylinositol glycans (GPI-anchors), releasing these proteins from the membrane. Dysregulation of the enzyme has been implicated in cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and immune system dysfunction, and the kit is intended for cardiovascular research. Performance specifications include a detection range of 1.56–100 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.78 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.7% and an inter-assay CV of 9.1%. In linearity testing, serum (N=5) ranged from 80–80% at 1:2 to 90–100% at 1:16, with EDTA plasma ranging from 99–99% to 103–113% and heparin plasma from 109–120% to 115–124% across the same dilutions. Recovery averaged 106% in serum and 108% in plasma. Specificity covers natural and recombinant mouse Gpld1, and the target is a monomeric secreted protein associated with high-density lipoproteins (UniProt O70362; molecular weight 93,255 Da).
