Description

Designed for quantitative detection, this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables measurement of mouse Phosphatidylinositol-glycan biosynthesis class F protein (PIG-F) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and is intended for research use only.

Key performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.174ng/mL. The Intra CV is 7.4% and the Inter CV is 9.3%. Linearity in serum (N=5) spans 81-120% across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions, with EDTA plasma showing 80-116% and heparin plasma showing 90-121% across the same dilution series. Average recovery is 85% in serum (range 80-91%) and 87% in plasma (range 81-93%).

The kit specifically detects natural and recombinant mouse Phosphatidylinositol-glycan biosynthesis class F protein (UniProt O09101, NCBI Gene ID 18701, molecular weight 24,825 Da). The target is involved in GPI-anchor biosynthesis through the transfer of ethanolamine phosphate to the third mannose of GPI and forms a complex with PIGG and PIGO, where PIGF is required to stabilize PIGG and PIGO. It localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane as a multi-pass membrane protein and is classified under the metabolism research area.
