Mouse Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (Ppara) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of mouse Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα). The assay is validated for use with mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is intended for research use only.

Performance characteristics reported by the manufacturer include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.4%, and an inter-assay CV of 8.7%. Linearity in serum spans 90–118% across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions, in EDTA plasma 97–115%, and in heparin plasma 95–118%. Spike-and-recovery values are 85% (80–91) for serum and 87% (81–93) for plasma. The kit detects natural and recombinant mouse PPARα (UniProt P23204), a nuclear ligand-activated transcription factor that regulates lipid metabolism and the peroxisomal β-oxidation pathway of fatty acids.
