Mouse Periostin (Postn) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie using colorimetric detection, designed for the precise quantification of periostin (POSTN) levels in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Periostin is a key extracellular matrix protein that plays a vital role in tissue development, repair, and remodeling, and is implicated in pathological conditions including cancer, fibrosis, and cardiovascular diseases. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Periostin, with a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.36ng/mL. Synonyms include Osteoblast-specific factor 2, OSF-2, PN, and Osf2, and the corresponding UniProt entry is Q62009.

Reported performance includes an intra-assay CV of 5.2% and inter-assay CV of 9.3%. Recovery averages 100% in serum (range 94-106%) and 102% in plasma (range 96-108%). Linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is 98-108%, 95-105%, 93-103% and 97-107% respectively for serum (N=5); 97-106%, 103-114%, 115-127% and 112-122% for EDTA plasma (N=5); and 86-96%, 104-116%, 110-119% and 103-113% for heparin plasma (N=5). Periostin interacts with BMP1 and fibronectin, and is localised to the Golgi apparatus, extracellular space and extracellular matrix.
