Mouse Perilipin 4 (PLIN4) ELISA Kit

The Mouse Perilipin 4 (PLIN4) ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of PLIN4 protein in mouse tissue homogenates and cell lysates. PLIN4 is a lipid droplet-associated protein belonging to the perilipin family, expressed most abundantly in oxidative tissues including heart, skeletal muscle and brown adipose tissue, where it regulates intracellular triacylglycerol storage. Investigators apply this kit to study PLIN4 regulation in diet-induced obesity, insulin resistance and lipid metabolism models, and to compare PLIN4 expression with PLIN1, PLIN2 and PLIN5 across metabolic phenotypes.

Each kit is supplied with a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized recombinant standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer and TMB substrate. A 50 uL sample volume is loaded per well alongside an eight-point standard curve, with absorbance read on a standard microplate reader. Unopened kits should be refrigerated and protected from light, with the standard aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles. For research use only.
