Mouse Perilipin-2 (Plin2) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of mouse Perilipin-2 (PLIN2), also known as adipophilin or adipose differentiation-related protein (ADRP), a protein associated with lipid droplet formation and storage, and which may be involved in development and maintenance of adipose tissue.

The assay is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, and detects both natural and recombinant mouse Perilipin-2. Performance specifications include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, a sensitivity of 0.082 ng/ml, an intra-assay CV of 6.7% and an inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Linearity is reported across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions of serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Recovery is reported for serum (average 85%, range 80–91%) and plasma (average 87%, range 81–93%).

Reagents are stored at –20°C or 4°C as indicated per component, and absorbance is read at 450 nm. The kit is positioned for cardiovascular research and is intended for research use only.
