Mouse Perilipin-1 (Plin1) ELISA Kit

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.084 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 6.5% and an inter-assay CV of 8.0%. Specificity is shown against natural and recombinant mouse perilipin-1. Average recovery is 85% (range 80–91%) for serum and 87% (range 81–93%) for plasma. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions is documented for serum (101–109%, 91–101%, 108–118%, 105–114%), EDTA plasma (108–117%, 105–115%, 105–114%, 99–99%) and heparin plasma (82–91%, 87–97%, 104–113%, 108–118%).

Perilipin-1 is described as a modulator of adipocyte lipid metabolism that coats lipid storage droplets to protect them from breakdown by hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL), with additional roles in lipid droplet formation via CIDEC interaction and in modulating lipolysis and triglyceride levels.
