Description

Assay Genie provides a colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of mouse Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase B (PPIB), an enzyme that accelerates protein folding by catalyzing the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides. The kit is intended for research use only and is designed to deliver precise measurement of PPIB levels in mouse-derived samples.

Key performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.09 ng/mL. Reported precision values include an intra-assay coefficient of variation of 6.4% and an inter-assay coefficient of variation of 8.8%. Linearity has been demonstrated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 for serum (84–93% to 91–100%), EDTA plasma (105–117% to 104–114%), and heparin plasma (95–104% to 95–104%) samples. Recovery is reported as an average of 85% (range 80–91%) for serum and an average of 87% (range 81–93%) for plasma. The kit specifically recognizes natural and recombinant mouse PPIB.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. PPIB is also known by the synonyms CYP-S1, Cyclophilin B, Rotamase B, S-cyclophilin, SCYLP, and PPIase B; the protein has a reported molecular weight of 23,713 Da and is localized to the endoplasmic reticulum lumen and melanosome (UniProt P24369). The kit supports research within the epigenetics area and other investigations where PPIB dysregulation is implicated, including inflammatory disorders, viral infections, and neurological conditions.
