Description

A high-quality Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the accurate detection of Mouse Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase A (PPIA), also known as Cyclophilin A, Cyclosporin A-binding protein, Rotamase A, SP18, and PPIase A. The kit is intended for the quantitative measurement of PPIA in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. Reactivity: mouse. Specificity: natural and recombinant mouse Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase A. For research use only.

Reported performance figures include a detection range of 0.78-50 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.403 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.2% and inter-assay CV is 8.0%. Linearity across dilutions 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 is reported as 103-113%, 89-89%, 84-93%, and 84-97% for serum (N=5); 106-116%, 94-103%, 109-119%, and 86-96% for EDTA plasma (N=5); and 88-98%, 107-117%, 114-114%, and 107-107% for heparin plasma (N=5). Recovery in serum averages 85% (range 80-91%) and in plasma averages 87% (range 81-93%).

PPIA is a peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase (UniProt P17742) that accelerates protein folding by catalysing the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides. Abnormal PPIA levels have been linked to diseases such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, and infections, making it a valuable biomarker for research in immunology, oncology, and cell biology. Research area: Epigenetics.
