Mouse Peptide YY ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the precise detection of peptide YY (also known as Pyy, PYY-I, and peptide tyrosine tyrosine) in mouse samples. It uses a double antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Peptide YY is a peptide hormone involved in regulating food intake and energy balance and plays a role in appetite suppression and satiety, making it a useful biomarker for research into metabolic disorders, obesity, and gastrointestinal diseases.

The kit has a stated sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. It is intended for mouse reactivity only and is associated with UniProt entry Q9EPS2. Storage is at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Validated performance includes linearity in serum (n=5) of 85–105% at 1:2, 92–97% at 1:4, and 87–100% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=5) of 87–105%, 89–97%, and 82–100% at the same dilutions; and heparin plasma (n=5) of 86–105%, 83–95%, and 84–100%. Recovery ranges are 85–101% (average 95%) for serum, 89–100% (average 92%) for EDTA plasma, and 89–100% (average 96%) for heparin plasma.
