Mouse Pantetheinase (Vnn1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse pantetheinase (VNN1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The target enzyme, also known as Pantetheine hydrolase, Vascular non-inflammatory molecule 1 and Vanin-1, is an amidohydrolase that hydrolyses a carboamide linkage in D-pantetheine, recycling pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) and releasing cysteamine.

According to the manufacturer, the detection range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 4.6% and inter-assay CV of 6.8%, and the kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant mouse pantetheinase. Spiked recovery averaged 103% for serum (97–109%) and 105% for plasma (99–111%). Pantetheinase is a GPI-anchored cell-membrane monomer (UniProt Q9Z0K8) with a molecular weight of 57,091 Da, and altered levels have been linked to metabolic, inflammatory and neurological conditions.
