Mouse Pancreatic alpha-amylase (Amy2) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of pancreatic alpha-amylase (Amy2) in mouse samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It is intended for research use only and targets a secreted extracellular enzyme that plays a central role in carbohydrate digestion, making it relevant to studies of metabolism, diabetes and pancreatic disorders. The detection method is colorimetric.

The assay delivers a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.089 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.4% and an inter-assay CV of 8.0%. Specificity is stated for natural and recombinant mouse pancreatic alpha-amylase. The analyte is recognised by the synonyms 1,4-alpha-D-glucan glucanohydrolase, PA and Amy2a, and corresponds to the mouse Amy2 gene (NCBI Gene ID: 109959; UniProt P00688), encoding a monomeric protein of 57,318 Da.

Linearity has been demonstrated across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 in serum (102–112%, 81–93%, 96–107%, 92–102%), EDTA plasma (88–99%, 104–113%, 81–93%, 118–127%) and heparin plasma (107–117%, 86–96%, 99–110%, 88–97%). Spike-and-recovery performance is reported as an average of 103% (range 97–109%) for serum and 105% (range 99–111%) for plasma.
