Description
Designed for the precise measurement of p38 MAPK levels in mouse serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, and cell or tissue lysate, this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm. p38 MAPK is a key signaling molecule involved in cellular responses to stress and inflammation, contributing to processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis, and is implicated in cancer, inflammatory disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions.
The kit delivers a sensitivity of 0.75 ng/mL with a working range of 1.25-80 ng/mL and is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. In validation testing, linearity for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma spanned 86-101%, 87-100%, and 89-101% respectively across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions. Spike-and-recovery values averaged 92% for serum, 95% for EDTA plasma, and 94% for heparin plasma. The procedure follows a six-step workflow: reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and a stop reaction with absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
Mouse p38 MAPK is also referred to by the synonym MAPK P38 and is associated with the Uniprot entry P47811.
