Mouse P2X purinoceptor 7 (P2rx7) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse P2X purinoceptor 7 (P2rx7), also referred to as ATP receptor, P2Z receptor, Purinergic receptor, or P2X7. The assay is intended for use with mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant mouse P2X purinoceptor 7.

The reported detection range is 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.083 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.7% and inter-assay CV is 8.1%. Linearity in serum spans 101-117% across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions, EDTA plasma 82-118%, and heparin plasma 99-116%. Average serum recovery is 91% (range 85-97%) and plasma recovery is 93% (range 87-99%).

P2RX7 is a receptor for ATP that acts as a ligand-gated ion channel, involved in ATP-dependent lysis of macrophages through the formation of membrane pores permeable to large molecules, and could function in both fast synaptic transmission and the ATP-mediated lysis of antigen-presenting cells.
