Description

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA Kit for the quantitative measurement of Oxidized low-density lipoprotein receptor 1 (Olr1), also known as LOX-1, in mouse samples. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, supporting cardiovascular research and studies of atherosclerosis and related inflammatory processes.

According to the manufacturer, the kit delivers a detection range of 0.78-50 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.39 ng/mL. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 5.4% and an inter-assay CV of 10.2%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma diluted at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with reported recoveries spanning approximately 84-120% across the matrices evaluated. Spiked recovery in undiluted samples averaged 101% (range 95-107%) for serum and 103% (range 97-109%) for plasma. The reagents specifically recognize natural and recombinant mouse Olr1. The target protein functions as a receptor that mediates the recognition, internalization and degradation of oxidatively modified low density lipoprotein by vascular endothelial cells and is also implicated in inflammatory cell adhesion and antigen cross-presentation. The UniProt accession for mouse Olr1 is Q9EQ09 and the research area is cardiovascular.

Most kit components, including the dismountable microplate, lyophilized standard, sample and assay diluents and detection reagents, are stored at -20°C, while the wash buffer, substrate solution and stop solution are stored at 4°C. Shipping is reported at +4°C for international delivery.
